With a day at the beach, a birthday party and a big a@$ box of legos from Brent's childhood delivered by the USPS. We're also getting ready to leave town and spend the week with Grandma and Grandpa Corey, which means cleaning the more neglected corners of our house (oh, the dog hair, it never ends). While in Idaho we'll see a Michael Franti concert, spend our days in the lake (I bet the kids will be swimming on their own when we get back), show the kids my childhood stomping grounds, and visit with some friends from Ethiopia. We are SO ready to abandon the hectic schedule we've created here in SoCal and just relax for a week before jumping head first into a new school and a new crazy schedule!
This blog was created to chronicle our journey towards parenthood through Ethiopian adoption. Now that our kids are home it serves as a space to explore and record life as a family of four. If you feel compelled, read along as we work to create the Perfect Space for our family.
"I wanna have friends that I can trust, that love me for the man I’ve become not the man I was. I wanna have friends that will let me be all alone when being alone is all that I need. I wanna fit in to the perfect space, feel natural and safe in a volatile place."
