"I wanna have friends that I can trust, that love me for the man I’ve become not the man I was. I wanna have friends that will let me be all alone when being alone is all that I need. I wanna fit in to the perfect space, feel natural and safe in a volatile place."

- The Avett Brothers

Adoption Milestones

The adoption process can lead people to be a bit obsessive over time lines - as if the key to unlocking the magic date that you will be able to bring your kids home is coded in every other adoptive parents' time line. 1. Whoa! Creepy! We're adopting brothers (ages 7 and 8) from Ethiopia. We just passed court...yahoo! AND....our blog is also named after an Avett Brothers song, "Murder in the City." So, I just wanted to say, "Hi! Nice to meet you!" I will certainly be following along your adventures and catching up your stories from the last year when I get a chance.
