One last plug.
This Wednesday Ashagre and Elsa will be picking up trash in the neighborhood surrounding their school. This is one of the school's primary fundraisers for the year. Rather than selling mass-produced crap that none of us really needs (the coupon book we bought to support their baseball team collects dust on our desk as we really don't ever eat at Del Taco...you get the picture) or candy that you really didn't mean to eat, the kids will be picking up trash to improve our community and protect the ocean we live near. For their efforts, the school is asking for donations to support its outdoor education and arts program.
If you can and feel so inclined, Elsa and Ashagre would love your support. They love their little school and have a lot of fun participating in choir (arts program) and the all school campout (outdoor ed.). You can support their efforts via Paypal by CLICKING HERE. Please name Elsa and Ashagre Safranski when you make your donation. All donations should be completed no later than Tuesday, November 15, 2011. Thank you!
Also, a huge thank you to those that have donated already. I won't post names here since some people prefer to be supportive in private, but please know that we know who you are and are very grateful.
This blog was created to chronicle our journey towards parenthood through Ethiopian adoption. Now that our kids are home it serves as a space to explore and record life as a family of four. If you feel compelled, read along as we work to create the Perfect Space for our family.
"I wanna have friends that I can trust, that love me for the man I’ve become not the man I was. I wanna have friends that will let me be all alone when being alone is all that I need. I wanna fit in to the perfect space, feel natural and safe in a volatile place."
