Not only did our friend Roman share a wonderful Gena celebration with us, but she also dropped off a HUGE bag of dresses for Elsa. Many of them are from Ethiopia. Elsa was nearly levitating tonight as she tried each one on, complete with an Ethiopian head-wrap, and pranced out into the living room to show her daddy and Ashagre. They're not going to fit her for too long and there's so many of them, I'm inclined just to let her wear them all as she feels like it, rather than saving them for some sort of special event.
What a wonderful gift and a konjo girl.
This blog was created to chronicle our journey towards parenthood through Ethiopian adoption. Now that our kids are home it serves as a space to explore and record life as a family of four. If you feel compelled, read along as we work to create the Perfect Space for our family.
"I wanna have friends that I can trust, that love me for the man I’ve become not the man I was. I wanna have friends that will let me be all alone when being alone is all that I need. I wanna fit in to the perfect space, feel natural and safe in a volatile place."
